De missie van het European College of Esthetische Geneeskunde en Chirurgie is de esthetische geneeskunde en chirurgie als een gerespecteerd medisch specialisme te ontwikkelen. Zij wil dit bereiken door te voorzien in persoonlijke ervaringen en opleidingen voor artsen die geïnteresseerd zijn in de esthetische geneeskunde en cosmetische chirurgie. ECAMS trekt internationaal gerenommeerde docenten aan van medische en chirurgische disciplines voor hands-on training bij artsen en chirurgen. ECAMS faculteit helpt ook bij het post-cursus mentorschap. Dit verbetert de leerervaring. Senior faculteiten zijn betrokken bij de samenwerking met Europese Hogescholen en Universiteiten om te helpen bij de ontwikkeling van esthetische geneeskunde programma's en syllabi, alsmede postdoctorale opleiding in aanverwante disciplines. ECAMS biedt basis, intermediate en geavanceerde trainingsmodules in alle terreinen van de esthetische medische praktijk. Het jaarlijkse Ecams congres is een uitgelezen kans om te leren van de wereldleiders in de plastische chirurgie, dermatologie, esthetische gynaecologie, esthetische geneeskunde, aangezichts plastische chirurgie, en aanverwante disciplines.
De door de NVVCC aangewezen ECAMS modules zijn door de EACCME (European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education) geaccrediteerd met European CME (Continuing Medical Education) credits.
Each medical specialist should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), www.uems.net. Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.
